Moderation

Moderation gives you a centralized, structured way to review and manage all member-generated content across your community. From one single view, you can monitor conversations, respond to comments, approve content, and ensure that your community remains safe, engaging, and aligned with your guidelines.

This area is designed to help you stay in control without needing to jump between individual Circles, pages, or content types.

Moderation is especially useful for:

  • Maintaining a respectful and supportive community
  • Responding quickly to member questions and feedback
  • Approving or rejecting content when moderation is required
  • Keeping track of activity across multiple content formats

Accessing Moderation

Navigate to Circles > Moderation from the main left navigation.

This opens the Moderation overview, where all moderation-related activity is organized by content type and status.

Moderation Views

At the top of the Moderation page, you’ll find tabs that let you filter what type of content you want to review. Each tab groups related activity into a focused view.

All

Shows all moderation activity in one combined feed. This includes posts, comments, reviews, and replies across your entire community.

Use this view when you want a complete overview of everything happening.

Waiting Approval

Displays content that requires manual approval before being published.

This is commonly used for blog comments or reviews when approval is enabled.

From here, you can quickly approve or decline submissions.

Blog Posts

Shows comments made on blog posts where comments are enabled.

You can reply directly from this view without opening the individual blog post.

Widget

Displays activity from widgets embedded outside the main community, such as comment widgets added to regular pages.

This allows you to manage widget-based conversations centrally.

Wall Posts

Shows posts and comments made on community walls, such as Circle discussions or shared updates.

Displays reviews submitted after purchases, if reviews are enabled.

You can respond to reviews directly from this view, helping you build trust and engagement.

Video

Shows comments related to hosted videos.

You can review and reply to video-specific discussions and filter by individual videos if needed.

Responding and Managing Content

From any moderation view, you can:

  • Read posts, comments, and replies
  • Respond directly as an admin
  • Approve or decline content (when approval is enabled)
  • Keep conversations moving in a positive direction

All actions are designed to be fast and contextual, so you can moderate efficiently even in active communities.

Moderation Settings

In the top-right corner of the Moderation page, click Settings to open the moderation settings popup.

Here you can define the admin name that will be displayed when replying to content through moderation.

This is useful if:

  • Multiple admins manage moderation
  • You want replies to come from a consistent brand or role (for example “Website Admin” or “Community Team”)

Once saved, this name will be shown on all moderation replies made from this area.

Why Moderation Matters

Moderation helps you:

  • Keep your community safe and welcoming
  • Maintain quality and relevance in discussions
  • Respond consistently across all content types
  • Scale community management as your Circles grow

By using moderation regularly, you create clarity, trust, and a better experience for both members and admins—without losing control as engagement increases.
