Blog Settings

Blog Settings let you control how your blog is displayed and how visitors interact with your content. These settings apply to the entire blog and affect both the blog list and individual blog posts.

Use Blog Settings to fine-tune layout, navigation, sharing, and comments—without touching individual articles.

Where to find Blog Settings

To access Blog Settings:

  1. Go to Web Studio
  2. Click Pages
  3. Open Blog
  4. From the Blog List view, click Settings

This opens the Blog Settings panel where you can configure layout and behavior for your blog.

Layout options

The Layout setting controls how blog posts are displayed in the blog list.

Available layouts:

Blog with Sidebar

The classic blog layout with a content area and a sidebar.

Best for:

  • Content-driven blogs
  • Educational or authority blogs
  • Blogs that use categories, tags, or CTAs

Why choose this:

  • Great for navigation and discovery
  • Allows use of the Blog widget in the sidebar
  • Works well for creators, courses, memberships, and businesses

Large Image, no Sidebar

Displays posts with large featured images and no sidebar.

Best for:

  • Visual or storytelling blogs
  • Brand or lifestyle blogs
  • Minimalist designs

Why choose this:

  • Strong visual impact
  • Fewer distractions
  • Clean reading experience

Medium Image with Sidebar

A balanced layout with medium-sized images and a sidebar.

Best for:

  • Blogs that mix visuals and structure
  • Content + navigation combined

Why choose this:

  • Keeps the page visually light
  • Still allows categories, tags, or CTAs in the sidebar

Medium Image, no Sidebar

Medium images without a sidebar.

Best for:

  • Editorial or article-focused blogs
  • Reading-first experiences

Why choose this:

  • Clean layout
  • Focus on content without navigation elements

Masonry with Sidebar

Grid-based layout with varied image heights and a sidebar.

Best for:

  • Inspiration-driven blogs
  • Image-heavy content
  • Portfolios or creative blogs

Why choose this:

  • Dynamic visual presentation
  • Sidebar still available for discovery

Masonry, no Sidebar

Masonry grid without a sidebar.

Best for:

  • Highly visual blogs
  • Gallery-style content
  • Browsing inspiration

Why choose this:

  • Strong visual flow
  • Ideal for scanning content quickly

💡 Tip

If your blog supports offers like courses, memberships, or lead magnets, layouts with sidebar usually perform best because they allow contextual CTAs and navigation.

The Navigation setting controls how visitors browse through multiple blog posts.

Pagination

Splits blog posts across multiple pages.

Best for:

  • SEO-focused blogs
  • Traditional reading experience
  • Large content libraries

Why choose this:

  • Clear page structure
  • Better performance on very large blogs

Load More Button

Loads additional posts dynamically when clicked.

Best for:

  • Modern, scrolling-friendly blogs
  • Visual or inspiration-based layouts

Why choose this:

  • Smooth user experience
  • Encourages browsing without page reloads

Share buttons

Enable Add share buttons to allow readers to share blog posts on social platforms.

Available platforms:

  • Facebook
  • X (Twitter)
  • LinkedIn

Why this matters:

  • Makes content easier to share
  • Helps extend reach organically
  • Especially useful for educational or thought-leadership content

💡 Tip:

Share buttons work best on value-driven posts like tutorials, insights, or opinion pieces.

Comments (Disqus)

You can enable Disqus comments to allow readers to comment on your blog posts.

Enable Disqus comments

  • Enter your Disqus shortname
  • Comments will appear below blog posts

Best for:

  • Community-driven blogs
  • Thought leadership
  • Blogs where discussion adds value

Send notification on new comment

Enable email notifications when new comments are posted.

You can:

  • Add one or multiple email addresses
  • Separate emails with commas

Why this helps:

  • Stay on top of engagement
  • Moderate comments quickly
  • Respond faster to readers

💡 Note

If comments are not part of your content strategy, it’s perfectly fine to keep them disabled.

How Blog Settings Work

Think of Blog Settings as the foundation that defines how your entire blog behaves and is presented across your site.

  • Blog Settings → global behavior

Controls layout, navigation, sharing, and commenting rules for the entire blog.

  • Header & Sidebar → visual structure & navigation

Defines the framing of your blog, including hero content, discovery, and contextual navigation.

  • Blog Post Settings → per-post customization

Allows fine-tuning of individual articles without affecting the rest of the blog.

Together, these layers give you a flexible system where global rules keep things consistent, while individual posts can be adapted when needed – without duplication or plugins.
