Testimonials widget
The Testimonials widget lets you display customer testimonials, reviews, ratings, profile images, and customer information in a structured and visually consistent way.
Testimonials can be displayed as a grid, list, or slider, making the widget useful for everything from a small group of customer quotes to larger testimonial sections that visitors can browse through.
Each testimonial can include:
- Review text
- Star rating
- Customer image
- Name
- Title or role
This article explains how to add and manage testimonials, choose a layout, and customize the appearance of the widget.

From here, you can:

💡 Tip
Testimonials are usually most effective when they are specific and describe a real result, experience, or transformation rather than simply saying that something was "great."

Rating / Score
Select the star rating you want to display with the testimonial.
This provides a quick visual indication of the customer's rating alongside their written review.
User image
Upload an image of the person providing the testimonial.
Customer photos can make testimonials feel more personal and credible.
For the most consistent design, use images with:
- Similar proportions
- Similar framing
- Good image quality
- A clearly visible person
Name
Enter the name of the person providing the testimonial.
For example:
Lisa Wright
Title / role
Use Title / role to provide additional information about the person.
For example:
- Founder
- Business Coach
- Course Creator
- CEO, Company Name
- Member since 2025
This field is optional but can add useful context and credibility to the testimonial.
Reorder testimonials
Use the drag handle next to a testimonial to change its position.
Drag testimonials up or down to control the order in which they appear.
This is especially useful if you want your strongest or most relevant testimonials to appear first.
Delete a testimonial
Click the trash icon to remove a testimonial from the widget.
Styling
The Styling settings control how testimonials are arranged and how the testimonial cards look.
Layout
Choose how the testimonials are displayed.
Available layouts:
- Grid
- List
- Slider
Grid
Displays multiple testimonials in a structured grid.
This works well when you want visitors to see several testimonials at the same time.
List
Displays testimonials in a vertical list.
This is useful for longer testimonials or pages where you want each review to have more space.
Slider
Displays testimonials in an interactive slider.
A slider is particularly useful when you have several testimonials but want to keep the section compact.
💡 Tip
Choose the layout based on how much content each testimonial contains. Short reviews work well in grids, while longer testimonials often benefit from a list or slider.
Slider Type
When Slider is selected, you can choose how the slider behaves.
Available options:
- Single slide
- Multiple slides
- Auto rotate (no controls)
Single slide
Displays one testimonial at a time.
This gives each testimonial maximum attention and works particularly well for longer or more detailed reviews.
Multiple slides
Displays several testimonials at the same time.
Visitors can browse through groups of testimonial cards while still seeing multiple reviews together.
Auto rotate (no controls)
Automatically rotates through the testimonials without displaying manual slider controls.
This creates a more passive, continuously changing testimonial section.
💡 Tip
Auto rotation works best with relatively short testimonials. If visitors need more time to read longer reviews, manual navigation is usually easier to use.
Items per row
Controls how many testimonial cards are displayed next to each other where the selected layout supports multiple items.
For example, setting this to 3 displays three testimonial cards across the row.
The appropriate number depends on:
- Available page width
- Length of the testimonials
- Size of customer images
- Overall page design
Remember to check the result on both desktop and mobile.
Theme
The Theme setting lets you choose the overall visual theme used for the testimonial cards.
Choose a theme that works well with the background and overall design of the surrounding section.
Text Font Family
Controls the font family used within the Testimonials widget.
For consistency, it is usually best to use the same font family as the rest of your website.
Card background
Controls the background color of the testimonial cards.
Choose a color that:
- Fits your website design
- Provides sufficient contrast with the text
- Helps the cards stand out from the surrounding section when needed
For consistency, use colors from your website's Global Colors whenever possible.
Text Color
Controls the color of the text inside the testimonial cards.
Make sure there is sufficient contrast between the text and the selected Card background.
Common use cases
The Testimonials widget works particularly well for:

- Landing pages
- Home pages
- Course and program pages
- Membership offers
- Coaching services
- Product pages
- Signup and checkout sections
Testimonials are often particularly effective close to sections where visitors are evaluating an offer or deciding whether to take the next step.
Best practices
- Use real testimonials from real customers
- Prioritize specific results and experiences over generic praise
- Include a name and image when you have permission to do so
- Add a title or role when it provides useful context
- Put your strongest and most relevant testimonials first
- Keep card designs consistent
- Avoid displaying too many long testimonials at once
- Choose a layout that matches the length of your content
- Check the section on both desktop and mobile
💡 Tip
A few strong, specific testimonials are often more convincing than a large number of generic ones. Focus on testimonials that address the questions, concerns, or desired outcomes of the audience viewing the page.
