The Funnel Steps Dashboard Overview
When you open a funnel in Recrevio, you’ll see the main Funnel Step Dashboard.

This dashboard is divided into two primary areas:
1. Funnel Builder
This is where you:
- Create and manage funnel steps
- Add pages, popups, and section labels
- Arrange the order of the funnel
- Edit individual steps
2. Management & Analytics
This area gives you insight into:
- Visitor flow
- Conversion rates per step
- Funnel performance over time
Together, these areas allow you to build, optimize, and scale funnels from a single place.
Funnel Dashboard – Top Bar Overview
The top bar in the Funnel Dashboard is your primary control surface for managing, analyzing, and maintaining an individual funnel in Recrevio.

From here, you can quickly navigate back, filter analytics data, access funnel-wide actions, and open detailed funnel settings.
Funnel Name & Navigation
Back Arrow (←)
Located on the far left, the back arrow takes you out of the current funnel and returns you to the funnel overview list.
Use this when you want to:
- Switch between funnels
- Compare performance across multiple funnels
- Exit without changing settings
💡 Tip
Any changes inside the funnel are saved automatically, so it’s safe to navigate back at any time.
Funnel Name
The funnel name is displayed prominently at the top.
This helps you:
- Quickly confirm which funnel you’re working in
- Avoid editing the wrong funnel when managing multiple campaigns
Funnel Link + Copy Link
Under the funnel name, you’ll see the funnel’s public URL and a Copy link option.
Use this to:
- Share the funnel with collaborators
- Test the funnel in an incognito browser
- Paste the link into ads, emails, or social media
- Verify the live experience end-to-end
💡 Tip
Always test the copied link after major edits (checkout, upsells, confirmations) to ensure the full flow works as expected.
Date Range Filter (Analytics Scope)
The date selector controls which time period is used when displaying funnel analytics and performance data.
Available presets:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 days
- Last 14 days
- This month
- All time
- Custom
How this is used:
The selected date range affects:
- Conversion rates
- Page views
- Step performance
- Funnel-wide analytics
Common use cases:
- Today / Yesterday → Check live or recent campaign performance
- Last 7–14 days → Spot short-term trends
- This month → Monthly reporting
- All time → Overall funnel health
- Custom → Campaign-specific analysis (e.g. launch window)
💡 Tip
Use Custom dates when reviewing launches, promotions, or ad experiments so your data reflects only the relevant period.
Options Menu (⋯)
Clicking Options opens a menu with funnel-level actions. These affect the funnel as an entity, not individual steps.
Share
Generates a shareable link, read more about sharing Funnels and Websites here: Sharing Websites & Funnels
Duplicate
Creates a full copy of the funnel, including:
- All steps
- Layouts
- Content
- Logic and structure
Perfect for:
- A/B testing funnel variations
- Reusing a proven funnel structure
- Creating language or audience variants
💡 Tip
Duplicate before making major structural changes, so you always have a fallback version.
Delete
Permanently removes the funnel.
Best practice:
- Only delete funnels you are certain you no longer need
- Consider duplicating or exporting before deletion
⚠️ Important
This action cannot be undone.
Clear analytics
Resets all analytics data for the funnel.
Use this when:
- Preparing for a new launch
- Starting a fresh campaign
- Removing test or internal traffic data
💡 Tip
Clear analytics before going live to get clean, meaningful conversion data.
Make inactive
Deactivates the funnel without deleting it.
What happens:
- Funnel pages stop being accessible
- Existing links no longer function
- Funnel remains stored in your account
Ideal for:
- Pausing campaigns
- Seasonal funnels
- Funnels you want to reuse later
💡 Tip
Making a funnel inactive is safer than deleting if you think you may need it again.
Additional actions depending on funnel type:
- For standalone funnels:
- Move to website in this project
- Move to another project
- For funnels that are part of a website:
- Move outside the website – detaches the funnel and places it on its own domain
Settings Button
The Settings button opens the Funnel Settings panel.
From there, you can manage Funnel Settings, including:
- Funnel-level configuration
- SEO and metadata
- Domain and URL behavior
- Tracking and integrations
- Advanced funnel options
For a full breakdown of everything inside Funnel Settings, see the dedicated article on Funnel Settings.
Funnel Steps: The Core of Every Funnel
Funnels are built from steps.

Each step represents a single:
- Page
- Popup
- Section
A checkout step may have these sub-steps added to the funnel step
- Upsell
- Downsell
Key characteristics
- A funnel can have unlimited steps
- Steps are displayed in a vertical sequence
- Each step has its own settings and analytics
Example of a simple funnel
- Landing Page
- Checkout Page
- Thank You Page
💡 Recommendation
Design each step with one clear purpose. Avoid mixing goals, for example selling and educating on the same step.
Funnel Step Settings
Each funnel step includes its own set of controls and settings, accessed via the cog icon next to the step.
Add / Remove Goal
Goals help you measure how users progress through your funnel.
You can mark a step as a conversion goal, such as:
- Submitting a form
- Completing a purchase
- Reaching a confirmation page
Once added:
- Goals are marked with a trophy icon
- Conversion data becomes visible in analytics
💡 Tip
Always mark at least one goal per funnel to accurately measure performance.
Show Settings
Opens detailed settings for the selected step, including:
- Step name
- URL and slug
- SEO settings
- Access restrictions and security
You can also:
- Restrict access to members or password-protected users
For Funnel steps that are pages, these settings are the exact same as for any page in Recrevio, please refer to the article on Page Settings & Page SEO.
For Funnel steps that are popups, you can simply just change the step name.
Duplicate
Creates an exact copy of the step.
Useful when:
- Reusing layouts
- Creating variations
- Speeding up production
💡 Best practice
Duplicate before making major changes so you always have a fallback version.
Copy to Another Funnel
Copies the selected step into a different funnel.
Ideal when:
- Reusing high-performing steps
- Sharing layouts across funnels
- Standardizing design patterns
Delete
Permanently removes the step from the funnel.
⚠️ Note
Deleted steps cannot be restored—duplicate first if you’re unsure.
Reordering Funnel Steps
You can change the order of funnel steps at any time.
How it works:
Hover over a step and grab the handle to the left (six dots):

- Drag it up or down
- Drop it into the desired position
Step numbers automatically update to reflect the new order.
💡 Tip
Reordering steps is a powerful way to test new flows without rebuilding pages.
Adding New Funnel Steps
To add more steps, click Add New Step.

You can choose from:
Page
Adds a new page step. You can:
- Start from a blank page
- Choose a pre-designed template
Popup
Commonly used for:
- Checkouts
- Opt-in forms
- Upsells or confirmations
Popups can contain any content, not just forms.
Section Label
Section labels are organizational tools and not visible to visitors.
They help you:
- Group related steps
- Separate modules or phases
- Keep complex funnels organized
💡 Recommendation
Use section labels for large funnels such as:
- Course modules
- Multi-offer funnels
- Long onboarding flows
Section labels can be moved just like steps.
Funnel Analytics
Once your funnel is live, analytics help you understand both:
- Overall funnel performance
- How users move through each individual step
Analytics are divided into two levels:
- Overall Funnel Analytics (top dashboard)
- Step-Level Analytics (per funnel step)
Together, they give you a complete picture of what’s working—and what needs optimization.
Overall Funnel Analytics (Top Dashboard)
At the top of the funnel dashboard, you’ll find a high-level overview for the entire funnel.

Total Visitors
- Total number of users who entered the funnel
- Based on the selected time range (e.g. All time, last 7 days)
This shows how much traffic the funnel receives overall.
Click Details to view more in depth visitor data in the Funnel Visitors Dashbaord.
Sales
Total revenue generated
Includes:
- Number of orders
- Overall conversion rate
This answers the key question: Is this funnel converting traffic into results?
Click Details to view more in depth sales data in the Funnel Sales Dashbaord.
Date Range Selector
Filter analytics by time period
Affects both:
- Overall funnel metrics
- Step-level analytics
💡 Tip
Use shorter time ranges when testing changes to see impact faster.
Goals Overview
If goals are enabled, use Show Goals/Hide Goals to toggle visibility
- Goals track key actions such as:
- Purchases
- Form submissions
- Completed checkouts
Goals are visualized throughout the funnel and reflected in step analytics.
Step-Level Analytics
Below the top dashboard, you’ll find step-by-step performance data.
Each step displays:
- Step name
- Number of visitors
- Step conversion rate
- Goal indicator (trophy icon)
This makes it easy to see how users move through the funnel.
Viewing Step Analytics in Detail
Each step has a percentage (%) indicator.
Click it to view:
- Visitors who reached the step
- Number of conversions
- Conversion rate
- Drop-off rate
This helps identify:
- Bottlenecks
- High-performing steps
- Where users leave the funnel
Goal Indicators (Trophy Icon)
Steps marked with a trophy icon are defined as goals.
This means:
- The step represents a key success action
- Its conversion rate is especially important
- It contributes to overall funnel insights
💡 Best practice
Always mark your primary conversion step (checkout or form completion) as a goal.
How to Use Funnel Analytics Effectively
Recommended Review Workflow
- Start with overall funnel analytics
- Check traffic and sales
- Review step-level analytics
- Identify drop-offs
- Optimize one step at a time
Optimization Tips for Underperforming Steps
If many users reach a step but don’t convert, focus on:
- Copy clarity and relevance
- Call-to-action placement and contrast
- Page load speed
- Visual hierarchy and layout
- Reducing distractions
- Improving trust signals (testimonials, guarantees, clarity)
💡 Tip
Small improvements in a single step often create a bigger lift than redesigning the entire funnel.
Best Practices for Funnel Design
- Keep each step focused on one action
- Reduce navigation and distractions
- Use goals consistently
- Duplicate proven steps instead of starting from scratch
- Monitor analytics regularly and adjust incrementally
Funnels work best when treated as living systems, not static pages.
